Complete mitochondrial genome of the Korean endemic earthworm Amynthas righii (Clitellata: Megascolecidae)
Amynthas righii is an earthworm species endemic to Korea, typically inhabiting mountainous forest environments. The specimens were collected from Mount Deogyu, South Korea. The complete mitogenome of A. righii was sequenced, assembled, and annotated. The mitogenome of A. righii is a circular DNA molecule of 15,142 bp with an A + T content of 65.56%, comprising 13 protein-coding genes, two ribosomal RNA genes, 22 transfer RNA genes, and a control region. Phylogenetic analysis revealed that A. righii formed a well-supported clade with A. jiriensis and clustered with related taxa within the Amynthas lineage.
