A nitrogen-rich phenazine-fused hexaazatriphenylene cathode enables low-temperature potassium battery operation at −50 °C
The organic molecule triphenazino[2,3-<i>b</i>](1,4,5,8,9,12-hexaazatriphenylene) was utilized as a high-performance cathode for potassium-ion batteries. It delivers a high capacity of 350 mA h g-1, exhibits good cycling stability over 600 cycles, and retains 73% of its capacity at an extreme -50 °C, enabling operation under harsh conditions.
