Two administrative centers were randomly selected from the centers of Sohag Governorate, and three villages were selected from each center to select the sample of respondents, which amounted to 377 respondents from the heads of rural families. The data were collected through a questionnaire form, and frequencies and percentages were used to display the data, and they were analyzed using the simple correlation coefficient (Pearson), and the Chi-square test. The results showed the following:- Nearly half of the respondents (49.1%) have a low level of family cohesion.- There is a direct correlation at a significance level of 0.01 between the following independent variables: age, duration of marriage, monthly income, number of family members, degree of ambition, and degree of leadership, and the degree of family cohesion of the respondents, as the values of the simple correlation coefficient reached 0.391**, 0.403**, 0.165**, 0.203**, 0.741**, 0.733**, respectively.- There is a significant relationship at a significance level of 0.01 between educational status, and profession, and the level of family cohesion of the respondents, as the calculated chi-square values reached 105,188**, and 88,186**, respectively
