The study aims to shed light on the role of human capital in achieving rural development through a case study of successful models in a village in Sharqia Governorate. Although human capital reflects economic value across formal and informal organizations, The current study seeks to uncover its value at the level of the lived reality in the village and the activities of its residents, which enhance development at all social, cultural, economic, and other levels. To achieve this, a case study was conducted within the framework of the anthropological approach. The data was collected through in-depth interviews with successful individuals from the village in various fields such as education and training, including activists in volunteer and environmental work. They possess a range of skills, knowledge, and experiences that serve as indicators of increased human capital, which helps support their efforts to achieve comprehensive development within the village. The study was based on theoretical approaches that help in interpreting and analyzing the field material, represented by the human capital theory approach, and the development theory approach with a focus on rural development. The study revealed several findings, most notably that investing in human capital through education and training is a cornerstone of rural development. Some villagers possess skills and abilities in addition to their education and professions, which have helped them build social capital and extensive social networks. These networks have played a significant role in undertaking development projects that have benefited the village and its inhabitants.
