The impact of zinc nanoparticles on the Growth of Ehrlich Solid Tumors in Female Mice
Background: Cancer is the second greatest cause of death worldwide, making it a significant and grave issue that impacts human communities. According to the World Health Organization, breast cancer is the most common type of cancer among women and the second most common type overall. Cancer is one of the main causes of death worldwide. Materials and Methods: For our study, 20 female mice were obtained and divided into two groups (10 mice per group): Group 1 (EST group); included mice bearing solid Ehrlich tumors for two weeks. Group 2 (post-treatment group); included mice bearing EST and then treated with zinc NPS for two weeks. The animals were then dissected for tumor histology and tumor histology. Results: Through our results, we note that the mice in which the tumor was induced (the first group) showed an increase in the tumor size on the fourteenth day, and caused an increase in both (CEA, AFP, TNF-α), and also caused damage to the tumor tissue. When treating the animals in which the tumor was induced EST with the Zinc Nps, we note a clear improvement in the tumor size on the fourteenth day and also an improvement in both (CEA, AFP, TNF-α) and an improvement in the tumor tissue EST.
