Study Of New Heterocyclic Ligand Derivatives From Sulfadiazine And Its Metal Complexes: Synthesis, Spectral Characterization, Antitumor Activity And Antibacterial Evaluation Abstract: A heterocyclic azo ligand was prepared from the conjugation of the heterocyclic aromatic amine containing the sulfur group with Imidazole in alkaline media. The new compound was identified by C.H.N analysis , Mass spectrometry, Infrared spectroscopy, Ultraviolet-Visible spectroscopy, NMR spectroscopy and many other Physical properties. He also prepared a series of octahedral coordination complexes for the ions of manganese (II), iron(II), cobalt(II), nickel(II), copper(II), zinc(II), cadmium(II) and mercury(II) , a tetrahedral complex for silver(I) ion and a flat square complex for gold(III) ion. The prepared new compounds proved their vital activity as antibacterial, antioxidant, anti-cancer compounds, and compounds with high color stability. Inferences have been reached that lead to: The ligand was produced using the diazotization process and functions as a neutral N, N-bidentate chelating ligand that binds to metal ions in a pentagonal chelating ring. Au(III) complexes are square planar, Ag(I) complexes are tetrahedral, and the other complexes are octahedral. The generated complexes demonstrated good stability. The ligand is efficient against bacteria, antioxidants, and cancer. Keywords: Sulfadiazine, Antibacterial, Anticancer, Antioxidant, Azo dyes
