Effect of Fulvic acid, Magnetite and NPK Levels to Improve Yield and Quality Characters of Pea (Pisum sativum L.)
Two field experiments were carried out during the two winter seasons of 2021 - 2022 and 2022-2023 at the Private Farm in Damietta, Egypt, to study the effect of different treatments of (Fulvic acid 5 kg/fed. + 75% NPK), (Fulvic acid 5 kg/fed. + 50 % NPK), Magnetite (100 kg/fed + 75% NPK), Magnetite (100 kg/fed + 50% NPK) and NPK (100%) on yield and quality characters of pea plants (Pisum sativum L.), cv. Master B under silty clay loam soil conditions. The experiments were arranged in randomized complete block design with three replicates. Results from the experiment showed that vegetative growth parameters, green pods yield and pods quality characters were superior by using Magnetite (100 kg/fed + 75% NPK) treatment followed by using NPK100% and Fulvic acid 5 kg/fed. + 75% NPK respectively. Therefore, this study recommends the insertion of magnetite and fulvic acid in pea fertilization programs to rationalize the usage of chemical fertilizers without affecting the quality and quantity of pea crop, promoting the sustainable vegetables production.
