Special Issue on “Plural Policing in Cyberspace: Entering the Grey Zone”
Special Issue on “Plural Policing in Cyberspace: Entering the Grey Zone” The digital frontier is not only a site of innovation and opportunity but also one of contestation, complexity and ambiguity. Security in this domain has moved beyond the traditional authority of the state and now involves an empowered assemblage of public, private and hybrid actors operating in what may be described as a legal, normative and strategic grey zone. It is within this blurred and increasingly pluralized security landscape that the present special issue, Plural Policing in Cyberspace: Entering the Grey Zone , took shape. The issue critically explores how plural policing unfolds in cyberspace, with particular attention to the tensions, trade-offs and power shifts that emerge in contemporary digital governance.
