Integrating an Equity Agenda to Cultivate Equity-Mindedness Among Nursing Professionals
This integrative review aims to identify interventions that improve equity-mindedness in nurses. The foundational aspects of racism in American society are embedded within the institutions where nurses are trained and work. A search was conducted in databases using Medical Subject Heading terms and keywords. The integrative review found that experiential training improved cultural awareness, empathy, and cultural self-efficacy. Experiential training is an effective approach to increasing empathy and cultural awareness.
