Cardiovascular Events 1 Year After Respiratory Syncytial Virus Infection in Adults
This cohort study of adults aged 45 years or older with RSV infection found a significant excess risk of cardiovascular events over 1 year, comparable in magnitude to influenza infection. These findings underscore the importance of RSV as a potential risk factor for cardiovascular morbidity and highlight the need for vaccination to mitigate this burden.
