Cavernous Hemangioma Involving the Mandibular Division of the Trigeminal Nerve as a Cause of Trigeminal Neuralgia: A Report of a Rare Case
Abstract We report a case of a 55-year-old lady who presented with a 2-year history of “atypical” trigeminal neuralgia that was refractory to conventional drug and surgical treatment. Cavernous hemangioma in the region of the foramen ovale was identified to be the cause. Such tumors are only rarely identified to be the cause of trigeminal neuralgia.
