A novel method of predicting the position of a satellite using phased array antennas
This paper discusses an alternate method to track the satellites in orbit. The proposed technique uses phased array electronic beam steering along with the advanced Multiple Signal Classification signal processing algorithm to accurately find and track the position of satellites in orbit. The system features a four-element linear phased array composed of software defined radios with corresponding vertical antennas for low elevation satellite positioning. This paper aims to demonstrate the feasibility of using the proposed system for future satellite position tracking and communications.
