The “Fracture‐Advance” Technique in Intravascular Lithotripsy for the Treatment of Severe and Tortuous Calcified Coronary Lesions
Intravascular lithotripsy (IVL), a novel interventional technique for coronary artery calcification, is increasingly being adopted in the clinical setting. However, advancing the IVL balloon through heavily calcified lesions remains challenging. This report describes a "fracture-advance" technique enabling progressive balloon advancement. This strategy offers a viable alternative when conventional delivery fails.
