Concept of Cognitive Resource and Model of Intellectual Range in Forming Professional Abilities (Analysis of V.N. Druzhinin’s Views)

This article provides an analysis of the views of renowned Russian psychologist Vladimir Nikolaevich Druzhinin on the issues of intelligence, general and professional abilities, and their connection to his interpretation of the concept of cognitive resource and the developed intellectual range model. The paper demonstrates the correlation between intelligence level and activity productivity in relation to lower and upper thresholds of intelligence; finds possible directions for research based on V.N. Druzhinin’ scientific works.
