Gröbner–Shirshov bases for Seifert manifolds

In this paper, we give some Gröbner–Shirshov bases for the fundamental group of any Seifert manifold. By using a special kind of order of generators, these bases can be constructed inductively. As an application, we can determine the monomorphisms from the fundamental group of non-orientable surfaces to the fundamental group of Seifert manifolds.

Abstract

In this paper, we give some Gröbner–Shirshov bases for the fundamental group of any Seifert manifold. By using a special kind of order of generators, these bases can be constructed inductively. As an application, we can determine the monomorphisms from the fundamental group of non-orientable surfaces to the fundamental group of Seifert manifolds.
