Time Reversal-aided transmission with Artificial Noise for Physical Layer Security in Ray Tracing Indoor Radio Propagation Channel modeling

Time Reversal (TR) is used as a precoding technique to enhance signal focusing. It is also considered as the optimal approach due to its ease of hardware implementation and low-complexity computation. Additionally, Artificial Noise (AN) injection is used to enhance transmission security. Due to its advantages, a TR-aided AN technique is studied in this paper for an indoor channel using ray tracing modeling. This technique is applied to SISO-OFDM scheme and then examined in a ray tracing indoor radio propagation channel. At last, performances evaluation in term of received signal power and Symbol-Error-Rate (SER) between intended and unintended receivers are performed in simulation to demonstrate the usefulness of TR-aided AN for physical layer security.
