Hexagonal Single Photon and Micro-Laser Source for Multicore Fiber Optical Link in Quantum Communication Networks

We report on utilizing the buried stressor method to monolithically grow high and low density site-controlled quantum-dots to form a single-photon and micro-laser source for quantum key distribution. Furthermore, a glass-based package for cryogenic environment using selective-Iaser-etching-tech-nology to establish an optical link via passive alignment. ©2025 The Authors

Abstract

We report on utilizing the buried stressor method to monolithically grow high and low density site-controlled quantum-dots to form a single-photon and micro-laser source for quantum key distribution. Furthermore, a glass-based package for cryogenic environment using selective-Iaser-etching-tech-nology to establish an optical link via passive alignment. ©2025 The Authors
