High Prevalence of Scoliosis in Children with Mitral Valve Prolapse.

High scoliosis prevalence (47%) in asthenic MVP children is independent of cardiac severity, suggesting intrinsic skeletal tissue vulnerability. Neuroendocrine and immune mechanistic investigation warranted.
