Barriers and enablers to pre-travel Bacillus Calmette-Guérin (BCG) vaccination among Australian children
Highlight: Australian families preparing young children for travel to tuberculosis (TB)-endemic countries face logistical and informational barriers to Bacillus Calmette-Guérin (BCG) vaccination, including access, long wait times and high costs. Despite strong parental vaccine confidence, improved coordination and integration of BCG into routine child health services are needed to ensure equitable access.
