First person – Shefali Tripathi

ABSTRACT First Person is a series of interviews with the first authors of a selection of papers published in Journal of Cell Science, helping researchers promote themselves alongside their papers. Shefali Tripathi is first author on ‘ Suppressing microtubule detyrosination augments adeno-associated virus 2 endosomal escape and gene delivery’, published in JCS. Shefali is a PhD student in the lab of Prof. Nitin Mohan and Prof. Giridhara R. Jayandharan at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, India, investigating how viruses evade host defenses using mechanistic and microscopy-based approaches.
