Discussion on the Applicability and Landslide Prediction Method for Weathered Crust Elution-deposited Rare Earth Ore
Due to excessive liquid injection and the influence of seasonal rainfall, geological disasters such as landslides, collapses, and debris flows are easily induced in the process of in-situ leaching of rare-earth by weathering crust leaching. The prediction and analysis of slope stability in rare earth mining areas play a pivotal role in ensuring safe mining operations and mitigating potential disasters. However, due to the indeterminate weighting values of existing landslide predictors and uncertain methods of predictor systems, the accuracy of landslide prediction in rare earth mining is challenging to ensure. The landslide instability mechanism of weathered crust elution-deposited rare earth ore has been described. The paper reviews the research status of deterministic models based on physical function equations and non-deterministic models based on statistical analysis in rare earth mining areas, focuses on the application and conditions of knowledge-driven models and data-driven models, and summarizes the applicability and limitations of various predictive model methods. Due to the special geographical distribution of rare earth mining areas and the dynamic leaching mining process, it is difficult to conduct deterministic models to carry out landslide prediction research in single mining areas, while the combination of machine learning algorithms and geological reality monitoring technology for landslide prediction and analysis has good application prospects. Finally, the idea of improving the landslide prediction model of weathered crust elution-deposited rare earth ore was proposed.
