Effect of Additives on Forming and Performance of Denitration Catalyst for Rare Earth Tailings

In order to solve the problems of extrusion crack, low mechanical strength and easy deformation in the molding process of rare earth tailings forming catalysts, this paper improved these problems by adding glycerol and glass fiber, and studied the influence of adjusting the amount of additives on the molding and performance of rare earth tailings catalyst. The results show that the glass fiber exists in the form of SiO2, and the silicon element and the cerium element in the tailings synergistically form Ce-O-Si, which provides more acidic sites on the surface of the catalyst. When adding 10% glycerol as a lubricant and 2.5% glass fiber as a strength agent, the denitration efficiency of the molding catalyst is up to 95%, and the mechanical strength increases to 2.36 MPa, and the number of large pores increases, which is conducive to the diffusion of reaction gases.
