Low-carbon economic operation strategies for integrated energy systems considering liquid storage carbon capture power plants and hydrogen production-storage-multimodal hydrogen use

Aiming at the problems of low flexibility, high carbon emission, and difficult absorption of wind power connected to the grid in an integrated energy system (IES), a low-carbon economic operation strategy of IES considering liquid storage carbon capture power plant (LSCCPP) and multi-mode utilization of hydrogen energy was proposed. Firstly, a fluid storage tank is installed based on the traditional carbon capture power plant (CCPP), and the flexible operation model of LSCCPP is established to realize the decoupling of carbon absorption and regeneration processes. Secondly, a hydrogen energy multi-mode utilization system is constructed to tap the advantages and potential of the combined operation of hydrogen energy and LSCCPP fully. Then, the concept of user comfort is introduced, the inertia of the heat network/cold network is combined with indoor and outdoor temperature in real-time, and the output of heat and cold load is flexibly adjusted, on this basis, the rewarding and punishing step carbon trading (LCT) mechanism is introduced to guide the integrated energy system to control carbon emissions. Finally, the optimal strategy of low-carbon economic scheduling was constructed to minimize the sum of system carbon trading cost, carbon sequestration cost, wind abandonment cost, energy purchase cost, and coal burning cost, and was solved by CPLEX commercial solver. The results of the calculation example show that the model proposed in this paper can reduce carbon emissions by 69.84 % and cut costs by 15.41 %, significantly reducing economic costs while promoting deep decarbonization and emission reduction of the system.
