What does trauma-informed care mean in general practice? A qualitative study of general practitioners’ perspectives
This study sheds light on how GPs understand and seek to practise trauma‑informed care, and the factors that support and hinder them in this work. Findings support the need for greater integration of trauma-informed principles across the healthcare system, including in funding structures and training programs, and for increased support for GPs' own wellbeing.
