Central Nervous System Kinase‐Altered Spindle Cell Neoplasm: A Case Series of an Emerging Tumour Type
Summary CNS kinase‐altered spindle cell neoplasm is a CNS tumour of mesenchymal origin similar to its peripheral counterpart and with a meningioangiomatosis‐like growth pattern, co‐expression of CD34 and S100, and kinase gene rearrangements. The CNS kinase‐altered spindle cell neoplasm resembles meningioangiomatosis but has key distinguishing features. CNS kinase‐altered spindle cell neoplasm belongs to a family of uncommon mesenchymal tumours, which have variable clinicopathological features, a broad range of kinase gene variants, and mainly present in soft tissues.
