Thurston’s pullback map, invariant covers, and the global dynamics on curves
We consider rational maps <inline-formula content-type="math/mathml"> f f </inline-formula> on the Riemann sphere <inline-formula content-type="math/mathml"> C ^ \widehat {\mathbb {C}} </inline-formula> with an <inline-formula content-type="math/mathml"> f f </inline-formula> -invariant set <inline-formula content-type="math/mathml"> P ⊂ C ^ P\subset \widehat {\mathbb {C}} </inline-formula> of four marked points containing the postcritical set of <inline-formula content-type="math/mathml"> f f </inline-formula> .
