A NEW VOTIVE ROMAN INSCRIPTION FROM ROGATICA DEDICATED TO LIBER PATER (EAST DALMATIA)
Recently, in the riverbed of the Rakitnica River in Rogatica, during the construction of the embankment, a monument with an inscription in Latin was noticed, which originates from the immediate surroundings and was brought with the remaining large pieces of stone. It is a Roman votive inscription dedicated to the Roman deity Liber Pater. In addition to analyzing inscriptions and Roman deities revered in the territory of Rogatica, the paper also discusses the status of this settlement in the Roman epoch.
