Tumour size reduction with intralesional methotrexate in facial cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma
We report a 76-year-old woman with a large facial cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma (cSCC) who was treated with intralesional methotrexate (MTX). The treatment resulted in a 62% reduction in tumour size and improved delineation of surgical margins. This highlights the potential of MTX as a simple, low-cost preoperative adjunct for complex cSCC.
