Generalized EP elements in Banach *-algebras

Abstract We introduce a new generalized inverse, termed the generalized EP element, which naturally extends the concepts of EP and *-DMP elements within the framework of Banach *-algebras. We provide polar-like characterizations for these generalized EP elements and investigate conditions ensuring their additive closure. Finally, we characterize the generalized core-EP orders associated with these elements.
