Functionalized copper metal–organic framework with laccase-like activity for the colorimetric detection of sodium ions in cigarette papers

This study developed a rapid colorimetric method using Cu-BDC-NH 2 to detect sodium ions (Na + ) in cigarette paper, achieving a detection limit of 3.46 µg L −1 . The method was successfully applied to real samples, demonstrating its practical utility.
