Experimental and numerical simulation study on high gravity regeneration equipment with new built-in reboiler
• The new all-in-one machine can achieve energy saving and high efficiency. • The regeneration process of amine solution was simulated by CFD. • The new equipment has more advantages in desorption effect and energy consumption. The use of rotating packed bed for carbon dioxide removal and regeneration of natural gas has the advantages of small size and light weight, which is especially suitable for deep-sea natural gas exploitation platform. Aiming at the problems of poor regeneration effect and high energy consumption, this paper proposes a high gravity regeneration equipment with built-in reboiler. The relationship between the high gravity factor and the flow rate of the rich amine solution and the mass flow rate and residence time of the desorbable rich amine solution is obtained by numerical simulation, and the relationship between the high gravity factor and the flow rate of the rich amine solution and the desorption effect of CO 2 and the energy consumption of absorption and regeneration is obtained by experimental method. Under different high gravity factors, the average carbon dioxide desorption rate of the improved process is 5.73 % higher than that of the traditional process, and the average energy consumption of absorption and desorption of the improved process is 16.64 % lower than that of the traditional process. Under different amine flow rates, the carbon dioxide desorption rate of the improved process is 6.96 % higher than that of the traditional process. The absorption and desorption energy consumption of the improved process is 15.00 % less than that of the traditional process. This paper provides a theoretical basis for the further engineering application of the new high-gravity regeneration equipment.
