Analytical study of an irregular piezoelectric-orthotropic material substrate subjected to a moving line load
This study analytically investigates the dynamic responses of an Irregular Piezoelectric-Orthotropic Material Substrate (IPOMS) due to a moving line load. The closed-form mathematical expressions of induced Vertical Normal Compressive Stress (VNCS), Transverse Shear Stress (TSS), Horizontal Normal Compressive Stress (HNCS), Vertical Electrical Displacement (VED), and Horizontal Electrical Displacement (HED) has been deduced. Moreover, the influence of various physical parameters, viz., maximum depth of irregularity (ID), irregularity factor (IF), frictional coefficient (FC), and the velocity of a moving line load (VMLL) on said induced electro-mechanical stresses (VNCS, TSS, and HNCS) and dielectric displacements (VED and HED) has been extensively studied. Additionally, a comparative study of IPOMS structure with Irregular Piezoelectric Transversely Isotropic Material Substrate (IPTIMS), Irregular Isotropic Material Substrate (IIMS), and Isotropic Material Substrate (IMS) is conducted and analyzed. Numerical computation and pictorial representation are interpreted with Polyvinylidene difluoride (PVDF), Aluminum nitride (AlN) and isotropic material using MATLAB software.
