From reference index to text portal: current developments in the BiblIndex project
Illustrated supplement to the homonymous article published in Studia Patristica. The BiblIndex website, an online index of biblical quotations gathered in texts from Antiquity and the Middle Ages, has been available to the public for sixteen years. During this period, the website has undergone several changes, which will be briefly reviewed here: a new search form, an expanded corpus, statistical data visualisations, etc. Nonetheless, the primary development scheduled for the forthcoming years focuses on providing access to the quoting patristic texts, by means of the creation of a bespoke textual database, in addition to the establishment of numerous collaborative relationships with extant databases. The present status of the project, which involves the utilisation of a demonstration interface employing Jerome's Letters and Isaac of Stella's Sermons as test cases, will be outlined. The objective is to explore potential avenues for collaboration with other projects.
