Analysis of failure modes and key design suggestions for marine liquid hydrogen storage
The efficient use of hydrogen energy is of great significance to China's energy transformation and reform. Liquid hydrogen storage is an important carrier form for hydrogen energy application, and the reliability and safety of marine liquid hydrogen storage in practical applications are still in the exploratory stage. This article focuses on the identification of hydrogen hazards, analyzes the potential risks of liquid hydrogen in the application process of the shipbuilding industry, sorts out and summarizes the establishment of the current standard system for liquid hydrogen in the shipbuilding industry, and briefly describes the typical structural types of liquid hydrogen storage. Based on the above research, further analyze the failure modes that may trigger potential risks, and key design suggestions are proposed from three aspects: structural design, safety accessory design, and material selection. The research and analysis in this article provide theoretical support for the reliability and safety of liquid hydrogen storage ship applications, and have practical application value.
