Study on optimal design of drug delivery pipelines based on CFD simulation analysis
In industrial pharmaceutical production, drug delivery pipelines often accumulate organic residues, which not only affect the operational efficiency of equipment but also pose potential safety risks. This article employs theoretical analysis and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations to investigate the internal fluid flow characteristics of drug delivery pipelines, simulating the velocity field, pressure field, and particle deposition behavior of the fluid within the pipelines. The study explores the formation mechanisms and spatial distribution of organic residues in drug delivery pipelines, and combined with simulation results, provides theoretical support for optimal pipeline design. It proposes optimizing drug delivery pipelines through several approaches: polishing the inner wall, increasing the bend radius of elbows, adopting high-precision flange connections, and implementing a slight incline design for horizontal sections. These measures aim to reduce the accumulation of organic residues in drug delivery pipelines, offering insights and methods for subsequent optimal design of drug delivery pipelines in the industrial pharmaceutical sector.
