Digital twin-driven scheduling of ship block in shipbuilding yards
In response to the challenges of low spatiotemporal utilization and significant scheduling delays in ship block yard operations, this study develops a dynamic scheduling strategy leveraging digital twin technology. Initially, a bi-objective mixed-integer programming (MIP) model is formulated, integrating constraints related to yard layout and production processes. Subsequently, an enhanced priority rule is proposed to address symmetrical blocks and single-block delays, complemented by a genetic algorithm incorporating the Dimensionally Extended 9-Intersection Model (DE-9IM). Finally, using real-world data from a shipyard, a comparative analysis is performed against existing algorithms through simulations driven by the digital twin visualization model. The findings demonstrate that the proposed method significantly enhances spatiotemporal utilization within the yard, reduces the incidence of delayed blocks, and decreases overall scheduling time.
