Research on wear remaining useful life estimation of piston - cylinder liner system
This research focuses on the reliability assessment of the piston-cylinder liner system. To this end, a Remaining Useful Life (RUL) estimation approach grounded in the analysis of cylinder liner wear is put forward. The RUL estimation process hinges on the construction of a stochastic degradation model for cylinder liner wear. Given the individual variances and the impact of external environmental factors on cylinder liner wear, a dual-random nonlinear Wiener degradation model is formulated. The wear data from the RTA58 cargo ship diesel cylinder liner are employed to validate the applicability and reliability of the proposed RUL estimation method. This study provides a theoretical foundation for equipment fault estimation and health management, offering new insights into the field of mechanical system prognostics.
