Lifestyle Interventions in Glaucoma: From Evidence to Everyday Practice
Abstract Glaucoma is a progressive eye disease that can lead to irreversible blindness. While intraocular pressure is the main modifiable risk factor and is addressed with medications and surgeries, lifestyle factors like diet, exercise, and sleep can also play the vital role in disease management. These measures are safe, low-cost, and empower patients to take an active role in their care. This article reviews the evidence for various lifestyle interventions, translating research findings into practical, everyday advice for both clinicians and patients.
