Numerical and Experimental Investigations of Electron Beam Transverse Velocity
The CESAR facility at CEA CESTA generates intense relativistic electron beams (800 keV, 300 kA, 60 ns) that propagate through argon and interact with various targets. The rapid energy deposition in these target materials is investigated experimentally and compared with hydrodynamic simulations. To enable accurate numerical modeling, key beam parameters such as electron density distribution and transverse velocities must be estimated.
