Theoretical aspects of Born–Mayer–Huggins potential in HgBa 2 CaCu 2 O 6 layered superconductor: A computational study
Long pending and intricate problem of a suitable potential in layered high temperature superconductors has been investigated thermodynamically in the form of a newly developed Born–Mayer–Huggins potential. The in-depth investigations infer that Born–Mayer parameters are not constant but depend upon various physical quantities like charges, pressure, volume, interatomic distances and Gruneisen parameter which is the measure of the strength of anharmonic affects in layered superconductors. The numerical estimates of these findings for layered superconductor HgBa 2 CaCu 2 O 6 (Hg-1212) successfully justify the outcomes (compared with YBa 2 Cu 3 O[Formula: see text]) and the reported formalism which is applicable to other high temperature and layered superconductors.
