Measuring the directed flow of protons in Xe+CsI collisions at the energy of 3.8 A GeV at the BM@N experiment

In the collisions of heavy ions at the beam energies of several GeV per projectile nucleon, a strongly interacting matter is produced under extreme conditions similar to the those observed in the compact stellar objects. Studying the properties of this matter can be performed by observing the collective anisotropic flow produced in the collision particles. In this paper we present the first results on the directed flow measurements of protons from the recent physical run at the BM@N experiment with collisions of Xe beam at the kinetic energy of [Formula: see text] [Formula: see text]GeV per projectile nuclei on CsI target. We compare the results for proton [Formula: see text] with predictions from theoretical model and existing world data.
