Phosphine-Catalyzed Allylic Fluorides Addition to gem -Difluoroalkenes

C-F bonds cleavage and reorganization remain challenging. Herein, we report a phosphine-mediated fluoroallylation of gem-difluoroalkenes via allylic fluorides addition. By employing sterically hindered P(III) catalysts, the allylic C-F bond undergoes cleavage, with both fragments incorporated into the final product, delivering homoallylic trifluoromethylated motifs with high regioselectivity and E/Z selectivity. The developed protocol is characterized by operational simplicity, broad substrate compatibility, and excellent functional group tolerance, offering a versatile platform for the high-value transformation of C-F bond-containing compounds.

Abstract

By employing sterically hindered P(III) catalysts, the allylic C-F bond undergoes cleavage, with both fragments incorporated into the final product, delivering homoallylic trifluoromethylated motifs with high regioselectivity and E/Z selectivity. The developed protocol is characterized by operational simplicity, broad substrate compatibility, and excellent functional group tolerance, offering a versatile platform for the high-value transformation of C-F bond-containing compounds.
