Controlling interactions between peptide-heme and G-quadruplex DNA using Fe-bound NH 3 and H 2 O ligands

This work provides the first spectroscopic evidence for binding of Fe-bound NH 3 to a G-quartet in a peptide-heme/G4 complex. Thermodynamic analysis shows that the interaction between heme and the G-quartet is highly sensitive to the NH 3 ligand.

Abstract

This work provides the first spectroscopic evidence for binding of Fe-bound NH 3 to a G-quartet in a peptide-heme/G4 complex. Thermodynamic analysis shows that the interaction between heme and the G-quartet is highly sensitive to the NH 3 ligand.
