Introduction to the XIX International Intestinal Rehabilitation and Transplant Association Congress (CIIRTA 2025)
We are pleased to introduce this special issue of Intestinal Failure, dedicated to the XIX International Intestinal Rehabilitation and Transplant Association Congress (CIIRTA 2025), held in Gothenburg, Sweden, from September 10–13, 2025. This was the second time this biennial conference aimed at bringing together experts involved in the care of patients with intestinal failure and intestinal transplants was held in Sweden, following the 7th International Small Bowel Transplant Symposium in Stockholm, back in 2001.
