Impact of Diode Bridge in Discontinuous Conduction Mode on EMI Propagation Path
This paper investigates the influence of a diode bridge in Discontinuous Conduction Mode DCM with a capacitive output on the electromagnetic interference EMI propagation path in a boost converter located on the DC side. Experimental results highlight the main phenomenon, which is illustrated using a simple equivalent circuit. A comprehensive time-domain model for EMI in a diode bridge rectifier is developed, constructed by superposing the contributions of individual noise sources. This model is applied in a sensitivity analysis to evaluate the diode bridge's contribution to EMI generation.
