Effects of Weight Control Through Bodypump Exercise in Obese Men on Vascular Aging and Blood Sugar
This study is expected to scientifically elucidate the effect of Body Pump exercise on improving the health of obese men by comprehensively analyzing the changes in blood vessel aging and blood sugar levels according to weight changes after performing Body Pump exercise on obese men for 10 weeks, and to make a practical contribution to the development of exercise intervention programs in the field in the future. The experimental participants of this study were 20 obese men in their 20s and 30s who met the BMI obesity criteria suggested by the Korean Society for the Study of Obesity among citizens of G Metropolitan City. They were divided into 10 Body Pump exercise groups and 10 control groups who did not participate in exercise. The results of the study showed a significant change in BPE Group, with Body Weight decreasing from 83.92±4.06 before to 80.57±3.92 after (p<.001***). Vascular Aging showed a significant change, decreasing from 1.71±.35 before to 1.16±.3 after (p<.001***). Blood Sugar showed a significant change, decreasing from 94.9±4.65 before to 90.9±1.52 after (p<.01**). Judging from the above results, it is judged that the BodyPump exercise in this study can be sufficiently presented as an effective exercise for improving vascular aging and blood sugar levels in obese men due to weight control. However, it is judged that research on long-term effects and exercise programs by exercise intensity and frequency is necessary.
