Zr‐BiVO 4 /Poly(Chitosan)‐Modified Electrode: A Tailored Hybrid Platform for Amperometric Paracetamol Sensing

A highly sensitive electrochemical sensor for paracetamol (PCM) detection has been developed by modifying a glassy carbon electrode with a novel combination of Zr‐modified BiVO 4 and electrochemically polymerized chitosan. This hybrid material enhances electrocatalytic activity and electron transfer during PCM detection. Poly‐chitosan contributes significantly by providing a stable film matrix and functional groups that promote target molecule interaction. The resulting sensor exhibits excellent analytical performance, including a broad linear detection range (0.001–392 μM), a low detection limit of 7.05 nM, and strong stability, reproducibility, and selectivity in the presence of common physiological interferents. This electrode design strategy presents a promising platform for sensitive PCM detection, with applications extending to pharmaceutical quality control and environmental monitoring.
