Abstract

In recent years, with the increasing emphasis on museum culture, the work of museums have also been tilted from “exhibiting objects” to “educating people”. The scientificity, diversity and richness of museum education curriculum development and practice will directly affect the effect of students using museums to learn. In view of the high degree of homogeneity in the current museum curriculum and the few modes emphasizing the combination of cultural relics resources and local culture, this paper aims to start with the “local” characteristics of local museums, emphasize the local nature of cultural relics, and take the Vertical and Horizontal Longitude and Latitude developed by Jiaxing Museum as an example to propose new ideas for the development of museum education curriculum from the local perspective, and to provide some thoughts and suggestions for local museums in the development of educational curriculum.
