Beyond Text: Key Elements of Cross-Cultural Interpretation in Museum Practices
Under the Global Civilization Initiative, museums have the responsibility and capability to play a positive role in “promoting Chinese culture to the world”. Today’s external cultural dissemination by museums should not stagnate in the stage of “proceeding blindly without questioning the effect”, but should seek to maximize the effectiveness of dissemination through diverse and equal cultural interactions. This article aims to understand the application scenarios of cross-cultural interpretation in museums and attempts to explore how to optimize the actual effect of overseas cultural dissemination through effective cross-cultural interpretation.
