Radical Joy
There are myriad ways to be, and myriad more to enact them in life. There is one great truth, however, that cannot be ignored: you are not alone. You have never been alone, truly, and it is impossible to be. From those who grow the food you eat, to those who built your house, to those who handed you the gift of life, you are reliant on them. Even if you were to leave now, go far, far away, you would rely on plants, and animals, and bacteria, and all life, to provide you oxygen and food and water and shelter and clothes and every little thing you have never thought of before. To exist is to rely upon the entire world, and to exist is to be relied upon. When you have chosen radical joy, you choose everything you are, but you are still beholden to the other. When you are joyful with yourself, however, it is easy to give freely to those around you.
